In 2020, I made the firm decision to leave my job at Audi to pursue content creation, leveraging Instagram to showcase my passion for timeless inspired menswear amid the height of the pandemic. I was clueless in the start, taking self timed photos on an iPhone tripod until the I got a follow from Victor Lopez, my now best friend and eternal mentor. He taught me the ins and outs of photography and brought me to exclusive brand events where I was able to establish a presence in the community. Within just a couple of months, my success was rapid, and I was able to monetize my personal brand, securing partnerships with brands I dreamed of working with growing up like 7 For All Mankind, Lee Jeans, EXPRESS, Wolverine Boots, Neiman Marcus, and Armani Beauty.

As my knowledge of the social landscape grew, a unique opportunity rose to consult The Maker Hotel, a property owned by the creators of the renowned LVMH brand, Fresh, for the social launch of their bohemian inspired fragrance line. My expertise was put to work alongside the Head of PR & Communications, directing photoshoots, developing partnership agreements and sourcing key influencers to acquire compelling visual images for use across paid and organic channels. Needless to say, the campaign was a smashing success and today, their scents can be found in major department stores like Sephora and Bergdorf Goodman.

TURNER PUBLIC RELATIONS

The agency that changed everything

In 2022, I landed a pivotal role spearheading Influencer strategy at the New York office for TURNER Public Relations, an integrated communications agency that maximizes brand impact for the travel, tourism and active lifestyle industries. This position exposed me to a multitude of clientele, from an organic baby clothing start up to swanky restaurants and entire continents like Australia. Whether it was content development, copywriting, influencer relations, community management or paid advertising, being able to wear multiple hats across diverse accounts molded me into a social media marketing powerhouse.

Coming from a strong family of artists, musicians and craftsmen, the creative juices ran through my veins, but my entrepreneurial sprit was naturally drawn to the other side of the campaign process. For me, the thrill was in negotiations, pitching and partnership acquisition. My journey in the industry began with a bang after joining ZINK as a Talent Agent in 2021. Representing a host of influential people, my clientele ranged from Versace models, professional surfers and luxury lifestyle influencers partnered with elite brands like Bentley and Montblanc. It was here that I sharpened my skills, learning all there was to know about usage terms, FTC regulations, and brand communications through nearly 100 cold outreach emails daily.
